My name is Salvatore G. Pizzurro. I am the owner of Maximum Home Services, LLC. I started in this business back in 1984 working with my father in his business while in high school. I worked during the summer months and on weekends throughout the year where I learned all types of home improvements including carpentry, renovations, drywall (hanging and finishing), framing, trim work, demolition, basement finishing, concrete, ceramic tile work, decks, and more. Most of my experience was bathroom remodeling as this was what my Dad did a lot of. Because 80% of our work was bathrooms, I also learned how to do plumbing work. From PVC & CPVC plastic to soldering copper pipes, and even the old cast iron joints with oakum and poured molten lead. I was very experienced at an early age. I became particularly good at drywall finishing (spackling), an art in and of itself.

I received electrical training in vocational school from 1984 to 1987. After graduating in 1987, I continued working for my father doing all types of work and also all the electrical work that came along.

In 1990, I joined the US Navy. I went to school for solid state electronics and graduated in the top ten percent of my class. I was offered Petty officer right out of school but turned it down because the Navy wanted me to commit to two more years. After serving my tour based in Hawaii on board a destroyer, I was honorably discharged.

I went to work for an electrical company as an electrician for two years until in 1996, I started Abel General Contractors. I did handyman work, Carpentry, Electrical, plumbing work and pretty much anything that came my way. The name Abel comes from my wife’s side of the family and it gave us great alphabetical positioning in the phone book. Eventually I was doing bathrooms, basements, all types of renovations, and of course all my own electrical and plumbing work. I never subcontracted out any work until I started building additions. I still did the supervising, the electrical, plumbing, trim work, bathrooms, re-grading landscapes, and finishing touches.

January of 2006 I started Maximum Home Services, LLC. Partly because we were expecting our first son Maximillian, and I wanted to name the business after him, and I thought that the name Abel General Contractors made us sound like we only did big jobs.

Spring of 2006, I also started Stumpinator Stump Grinding Service. I had always done the occasional stump grinding job that came along and I finally just decided to buy a machine and start that business up too. So, if you or anyone you know ever needs stump grinding work done, now you know who to call......The Stumpinator!

Well, things couldn’t be better! I am doing what I love, and it shows in my work. I do not do Additions any more because I don’t like having to supervise crews. I am also not happy with the quality of the work out there so, I do jobs that I can handle by myself and with the occasional helper when needed. That’s not to say that I would not accept a small addition job as long as I could do all the work myself. Bathrooms, and smaller to mid size jobs are more my cup of tea. I also like to do electrical and plumbing work.

I hope this info gives you a good idea about who I am and the company you are hiring. I look forward to speaking with you soon about any work you would like to have done.

Thank you and have a great day!

Sincerely,

Sal Pizzurro
